Our Everest Base Camp is a moderate trekking route lead by a local English speaking sherpa/guide. You will experience the jaw-dropping views of the majestic Himalayan range enriched by the local traditions and cultures of the communities that call these mountains home. On this 14 day trip you will be accommodated at local Teahouses what will provide you with hearty meals, fueling you as you walk in the shadows of the worlds tallest peaks.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Elevation: 1300 m/4264 ft
Welcome to Kathmandu!
You will be met at the airport, and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation

Today we will visit some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites around in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Baudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath.
Day 3: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding
Elevation: 2,651m/8,700ft
Hiking Time: 3 - 4 hours
Distance: 8km
Early in the morning we will head towards the airport and fly to Lukla. We will have a breakfast in Lukla this morning on arrival. We meet the rest of the team in this small mountain town, the gateway to Everest. After breakfast we start walking down to Pkadking. Our hike today is easy.
Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Elevation: 3,438m/11,280 ft
Hiking Time: 5 - 6 hours
Distance: 11km
After our breakfast, our hike today begins, and the trail passes through pine forest, small villages and streams. Monzo is one of the villages and from here we will enter the world’s highest national park; Everest National Park. We will have our lunch at Jorshalle. After following the Dudh Koshi river for a while our trail starts to ascend and cross the river and we will soon arrive at Namche Bazar
Day 5: Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazar is one of the biggest Sherpa villages in this region. It has government offices, beautiful markets, international brand sportswear showrooms to internet cafes and cafes. On our acclimatization day today we will hike up to Khumjung village. Another big village of the region. We will have lunch here, and the view on the way to the village is mesmerizing. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam Kongde are the major mountains that we will view on the way.
Day 6: Namche Bazaar to Debuche
Elevation: 3,850m/12,694ft
Hiking Time: 5- 6 hours

After we leave Namche Bazar and we reach the top of the village, the views will stop us in our tracks! Our trail after Kyamjuma starts to descend near the river, and after crossing the river it starts to ascend until Thyangboche, a very small village at the top of the mountain where there is a monastery and couple of tea houses. We then descend 20 minutes down the other side of the mountain to Debuche.
Days 7-8: Tengboche to Dingboche
Elevation: 4,360 m/14,300 ft
Hiking Time: 5 - 6 hours
Distance: 9km
Day 7: Our trail today is flat, and it passes through lush forest rhododendron trees. We will walk on the other side of the river and start to ascend as we arrive at Pangboche village, then Somare village Where we will have our lunch. Mountains like Amadablam, Lhotse and Nuptse are the major mountains we will see today, and we will take time to enjoy the view, and snap once in a lifetime photos.
Day 8: Today we will climb a ridge named Nangkartsang, located behind the village. From here we can see Cho oyu, Makalu Lhotse and other notable mountains. Mt. Ama Dablam will be just in front of us, and the view of Dingboche Village just below us is an amazing sight indeed!
Day 9: Dingboche to Lobuche
Elevation: 4940 m/16,207 ft
Hiking Time: 4 hours

Today we will trek across a wide pass, which is a much deserved variation from walking in a straight line for about 3 hours, and we reach a small settlement called Dughla, where we will have our lunch and continue towards Dhughla pass. From here, we ascend the steep terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. The top of the ridge is filled with prayer flags and stones, which are memorial shrines for climbers who lost their lives on Mt. Everest. About 45 minutes from here we will arrive in Laboche, and have a chance to relax and reflect.
Day 10 - 11: Lobuche to Gorak Shep visit Everest Base Camp

Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 6-7 hours
Today from Laboche we head to Gorak Shep, and today is the day we experience the base camp of the world’s tallest mountain in the world! From Laboche to Gorak Shep is just 3 hours, and we leave our backpacks and have lunch. After lunch we will walk about 2 hours to see the world famous Everest Base camp.
Day 11: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pheriche (4,288m/14,070ft): 16km, 7-8 hours
This morning we will wake up early to trek to the top of Kalapathar, for the most beautiful mountain and Everest views in the world, all while experiencing sunrise in the Himalaya. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity!
Day 12: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Elevation: 3,440m/11,280 ft
Hiking Time: 6 - 7 hours
Distance: 20km
Today our trail will be mostly ups and downs. Our sleeping altitude today will be around 3,000 ft below than Pheriche. Once we arrive at Namche Bazar, we can enjoy a shower, coffee, drinks and civilization!
Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Elevation: 2,860m/9,186ft
Hiking Time: 7 -8 hours
Distance: 19km
We begin our trek from Namche Bazaar today on rocky terrain, and It is mostly a downhill trek on a trail alongside the Dudh Koshi River. After crossing several bridges and enjoying chatting with the folks headed up, we will arrive in Lukla!
After an early morning and much needed rest, we head towards the airport and fly back to Kathmandu.
Note: We generally suggest booking your international return flight out of Kathmandu the following day in the afternoon to allow for delayed flights out of Lukla due to poor weather conditions.
