We then traverse across to the higher Col de la Croix du Bonhomme (2,484 m / 8,150 ft), entering a remote and wild section of the Tarentaise region. This rugged landscape offers wide-open views and a true sense of alpine isolation.

From the col, we descend into the peaceful valley of Les Chapieux, a postcard-perfect hamlet surrounded by rolling meadows and dramatic mountain backdrops. Several trail options are available for the descent, allowing flexibility depending on weather and group pace.

From the col, breathtaking views of Mont Blanc’s southern face unfold before us. We descend gradually into the spectacular Val Veny, one of the most dramatic valleys of the entire Tour du Mont Blanc, framed by towering peaks, hanging glaciers, and lush alpine meadows.
