In this incredible 8 day itinerary, fall in love with Jordan old and new, and gain a new perspective of the world.


This is an 8-day tour visiting and experiencing some of the unique sites of Jordan and engaging with the people and culture.

Experience Jordan

Day 1: Arrival in Amman

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Amman. One of the oldest cities in the world, Amman has been constantly inhabited since the Bronze Age.

Overnight in Amman.

Day 2: Jerash - Ajloun - Amman

This morning you will be met at your hotel in Amman, and we will start our drive north to to Jerash, one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities in the Middle East. After we experience the ruins and souk at Jerash, we head to the castle in Ajloun. Built to protect against the crusader armies at the intersection between Jerusalem, Cairo, Damascus and Mecca, the castle dominates the skyline, and is truly breathtaking.

Next, we have the opportunity to head to the village of Orjan, to get a taste of what more traditional life is like for the people of this region. The olive groves here have produce for hundreds of years, and in a local grove is where we will meet our local host. Our host will invite us into his home, where we be introduced to the culture and daily routine of the people in this community. Take this opportunity to taste delicious typical Jordanian food, and ask any questions you have about daily life in Jordan. We will return to Amman for the evening (B,L)

Day 3: Amman City Tour - Dead Sea Visit

This morning we will enjoy a breakfast at our hotel, and afterward enjoy a tour of the old city of Amma. We will explore the Citadel and the Roman Theater, two important archeological sites that span multiple empires.Then we will view the stunningly blue Al-Husseieni Mosque and stop at a local restaurant to sample authentic falafel and hummus.

After our tour, we are treated to a relaxing afternoon lounging at the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth! Float, relax, and test the “magical” mud of the Dead Sea, boasting many health benefits.(B,L)

Overnight in Amman.

Day 4: Mount Nebo - Madaba - Kerak - Shobak - Petra

After breakfast, we will start the day with a view from Mount Nebo, taking in the view where Moses looked across to the Promised Land, and later died and was buried. From here, we move on to the town of Madaba, where we are treated to the beautiful Byzantine mosaics excavated from throughout the town. See the ‘Madaba Map’, the oldest preserved mosaic map of the Holy Lands.

Continue south to the ancient crusader castle in Karak, exploring the maze of stone-vaulted halls and passageways. The city of Karak was an important city in the Moab Kingdom and the castle dominates the skyline. The castle provides an impressive insight into the architectural and military skills of the Crusaders. Continue south to see Shobak castle, also known as Montreal, providing a contrasting example to Kerak. We finish the day with driving to Wadi Musa, the village of  Petra where we can enjoy a night’s rest before seeing a Modern World Wonder the next day. (B)

Day 5: Petra - Full Day Visit

Today we are treated to one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We have the the day to explore this ancient city, lovingly referred to as the Red Rose City.

We will walk through the Siq to the magnificent treasury, the entrance to this ancient Nabatean city. We will continue into the city itself, taking in views of the incredible amphitheater with its many tomb and caves. After we enjoy a leisurely lunch, we will explore some of the hidden treasures of the city, only our experienced guides will know, such as the Monastery, and views from Jebel Khubtha.

Tonight, don’t miss the sights and sounds of an evening in Petra. Lit by candlelight, the Siq and Treasury are truly awe-inspiring. Tonight you will have the option of a night tour, beginning at 8:30 pm, ending at 10:30pm. (B)

Day 6: Petra - Camel Ride - Jeep tour Wadi Rum

After breakfast, we say goodby to Petra, and head to Wadi Rum. When we arrive, our camels will be waiting for us, ready to explore the mountainous desert that surrounds us. After our camel rides, we will explore this World Heritage Site by 4x4, traveling around in the nearby valleys, dunes, deserts and canyons. Each time we stop, you will have the opportunity to explore on foot, making discoveries along the way. Our guides will prepare a simple lunch for us in the desert, in the shade of the mountains, and we will be treated to a sunset view of the desert on our return across the desert to our camp. (B,D)

Overnight Wadi Rum.

Day 7: Wadi Rum - Aqaba Boat Ride - Amman or Aqaba

Today we rise with the sun, and make our way to Aqaba,the only port in Jordan with access to the Red Sea. We will board a glass bottom boat, with views of coral and of course our above water views of Jordan, Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. We will take this opportunity to snorkel, swim, and enjoy lunch onboard.

Depending on your departure flight, you will either head north, back to Amman for an overnight before departure the next day from Queen Alia International Airport, or stay in Aqaba for overnight if you choose to fly out from King Hussein International Airport. (B,L)

Day 8: Amman or Aqaba - Airport

Today we bid farewell!

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then enjoy relaxing and/or buying last minute souvenirs before your flight home!

We will then provide transportation to the Airport at the needed time for your flight on this day. (B)
